Manganese sand
product description
Manganese sand is selected by natural manganese sand or manganese ore, grinding and sieving to various kind of
manganese sand filter media. Rough appearance, brown color, can remove the Manganese and Ferrum in the water,
very useful in drainage. The manganese filter media is rich of manganese dioxide, the user can choose it according to
your need.For now, there’re two different theories in de-ferrum in water treatment via manganese dioxide. Firstly, use a so called film membrance filter, because oxidation take
place in the surface of the manganese sand. Secondly, due to the catalysis of the manganese sand, it can transfer the
Fe2+ to Fe3+, then absorb Fe3+in the surface and make it deposite, this way the Ferrum can be removed and the wate
r will be clear.
Properties
Manganese sand filter with manganese ore as raw material,is produced through crushing, screening and other
processes. The appearance of rough brown or light gray, commonly used in drinking water’s filter devices to remove iron, manganese , water treatment effect is very good. (Note: MnO2 ≥ 35% either removing
iron, but also manganese, MnO2 ≤ 30%,can only be used for remove iron from ground water).
